Dallas–Fort Worth, TX Press Releases

(Dallas.CityRegions.Com, September 17, 2015 ) Sherman, Texas -- A Cut Above Cutlery announced the addition of a 5 Inch Utility and Paring Knife to their line of kitchen cutlery today.
"We're pleased to bring to market another affordable, must-have knife. Between our best-selling 8 Inch Chef's Knife and our new 5 Inch Utility and Paring Knife, we have 90% of any home chef's preparation needs covered", PR Director Zoe Nichols said. "And like the other products in our line, our newest knife is made from top-quality Stainless Steel and covered by our no-hassle warranty."
This new entry in the company's line brings the total catalog to 5 products- the other products being the aforementioned Chef's Knife, a set of 6 Steak Knives, a 7 Inch Cleaver and an 8 Inch Carving Knife and Fork Set.
The 5 Inch Utility and Paring Knife is currently available for sale on amazon.com.
A Cut Above Cutlery first came on the scene earlier this year, launching at the end of May 2015. Founded on the premise that home cooks deserve quality cooking utensils at a price that won't break their budget, A Cut Above Cutlery is the brainchild of veteran retail marketing executive, Theron Andrews.
"I love cooking but found myself between a rock and a hard place when it came to kitchen knives- there seemed to be two options, super-expensive and grocery-store-cheap", Andrews says. "Cheap knives can really take the fun out of cooking, but I just couldn't justify spending big bucks for expensive brand-name knives. Let's face it, I'm not a professional chef by any stretch of the imagination. I just want to enjoy the time I spend cooking meals for my friends and family."
And so, tired of buying disposable knives that "had a hard time sawing through melted butter", Andrews set off to establish some middle ground in the world of kitchen knives. His overarching mission, he says, is to help home cooks "rediscover the joy of cooking with quality, affordable tools". He concluded by remarking "After all, good food is about spending time with those you love, not worrying about your budget."
The company sells exclusively on Amazon.com at this point, although Andrews hasn't ruled out launching other channels of distribution in the future.
