Dallas–Fort Worth, TX Press Releases

(Dallas.CityRegions.Com, July 16, 2015 ) Sherman, Texas -- A company spokesperson announced today that the Facebook page for A Cut Above Cutlery hit 1000 "likes" early on Saturday July 11, 2015. A "like" on Facebook is an indication from a Facebook user that they appreciate a piece of content on the social network, such as news articles, status updates, comments made by other users, or in this case, a page managed by and dedicated to a company.
"We were excited to see that we'd crossed into the 4-digit range so quickly," Zoe Nichols, Director of Public Relations for A Cut Above Cutlery said. "Our page went live on May 27th, so we hit that milestone in a little over 6 weeks. That's about 6 weeks ahead of our most aggressive projections, so we're very pleased, to say the least!"
A Cut Above Cutlery in an ecommerce retail venture that launched in May 2015. The company is focused primarily on the kitchen knife category, although future expansion into other categories is a possibility, according to Ms. Nichols. Currently, the company's main product is an 8 Inch Chef Knife which is for sale on Amazon.com.
"As you might expect, our Facebook page talks a lot about knives and other cool kitchen gadgets we come across in our daily business. But we also try to bring exciting recipe ideas to our audience. After all, knives are great and we love them, but making great food is the end goal of every chef. We want to give our customers fresh, new ideas whenever possible, and Facebook lets us do that in an interactive format with pictures and video." The company also uses their Facebook page to notify customers of ongoing promotional activities and events.
Plans are in the works to develop a social media presence on Twitter and Pinterest as well. "We felt like we should do a really great job on Facebook before dividing our efforts across multiple social media vehicles. As a small company with a limited staff, we have to make sure we can deliver what we promise rather than biting off more than we can chew and falling short. We feel that if we're going to be relevant and active in social media, we simply must be responsive to our customers quickly when they reach out to us. If we were spread across too many platforms, we'd fall short of the great experience we always want to deliver," concluded Ms. Nichols.
