Dallas–Fort Worth, TX Press Releases
|
(Dallas.CityRegions.Com, July 15, 2015 ) Sherman, Texas -- A Cut Above Cutlery company spokesperson Zoe Nichols said today that their Chef's Knife, released in May of 2015, has already taken the #1 New Release slot in the Kitchen Knife category on amazon.com.
"We were blown away when we logged on this morning and noticed the distinctive orange banner on our product page", Nichols commented. "Certainly, we know our knife is a great product, but we never expected the speed of the positive sales gains we've seen, nor did we expect to see so many 5-Star reviews from Amazon Top Product Reviewers at this early stage." (Amazon Top Reviewers are members of the amazon.com community who have reviewed a significant amount of products for the company over time, and have built up credibility with Amazon's customer base. 5 Star Reviews from this group are desirable as they offer reliable proof that a new product is worth purchasing. )
The knife in question, an 8 Inch Stainless Steel Chef Knife, is available for sale here.
A Cut Above Cutlery was founded in May of 2015 on the premise that home cooks deserve quality cooking utensils at a price that won't break their budget. A Cut Above Cutlery is the brainchild of veteran retail marketing executive, Theron Andrews, who describes it as "a small company with big dreams".
"I love cooking but found myself between a rock and a hard place when it came to kitchen knives- there seemed to be two options, super-expensive and grocery-store-cheap", Andrews said in a recent interview. "Cheap knives can really take the fun out of cooking, but I just couldn't justify spending big bucks for expensive brand-name knives. Let's face it, I'm not a professional chef by any stretch of the imagination. I just want to enjoy the time I spend cooking meals for my friends and family."
Tired of buying disposable knives that "had a hard time sawing through melted butter", Andrews set off to establish some middle ground in the world of kitchen knives. His overarching mission, he says, is to help home cooks "rediscover the joy of cooking with quality, affordable tools". He concluded by saying "After all, good food is about spending time with those you love, not worrying about your budget."
