Dallas–Fort Worth, TX Press Releases
|
(Dallas.CityRegions.Com, June 12, 2015 ) Sherman, Texas -- A Cut Above Cutlery, based in Sherman, Texas, announced today that initial reviews are very positive on their new 8" Chef's Knife. The knife became available for sale on June 2nd and has been selling ahead of company expectations, according to company spokesperson Zoe Nichols.
Ms. Nichols went on to say, "We've had very positive reviews coming in from customers across the country. Many of the comments we've received are from customers who are impressed by the sharpness of the blade, the overall balance and feel of the knife in their hand. And they universally remark that it is a fantastic value."
A customer from the Dallas/Fort Worth area commented on amazon.com that "The blade is sharp! Tonight I used it to cut through corn on the cob and it easily sliced through several ears!"
Founded on the premise that home cooks deserve quality cooking utensils at a price that won't break their budget, A Cut Above Cutlery is the brainchild of veteran retail marketing executive, Theron Andrews.
"I love cooking but found myself between a rock and a hard place when it came to kitchen knives- there seemed to be two options, super-expensive and grocery-store-cheap", Andrews says. "Cheap knives can really take the fun out of cooking, but I just couldn't justify spending big bucks for expensive brand-name knives. Let's face it, I'm not a professional chef by any stretch of the imagination. I just want to enjoy the time I spend cooking meals for my friends and family."
And so, tired of buying disposable knives that "had a hard time sawing through melted butter", Andrews set off to establish some middle ground in the world of kitchen knives. His overarching mission, he says, is to help home cooks "rediscover the joy of cooking with quality, affordable tools". He concluded by remarking "After all, good food is about spending time with those you love, not worrying about your budget."
The 8" Chef's Knife is available now - it's reportedly On Sale and can be purchased at amazon.com. Other products in the line are expected later in the year.
